If the announcements at Lotusphere are any indication, this year will be very interesting for Lotus!
Chuck Hauble will talk about Lotusphere takeaways, including what's new with R8 of Notes/Domino. For the few of you who haven't met Chuck, he specializes in Lotus Notes/Domino in Hennepin County's IT Dept, and he's been working with Lotus Notes as a consultant, architect, administrator, developer or combination thereof since at least 1995.
After Chuck's presentation, we'll be talking to Jelan Heidelberg about what was possibly the two biggest announcements at Lotusphere: Lotus Connections and Lotus Quickr! She was a great speaker at the Collaboration University conference in September 2006 on the future of team collaboration and QuickPlace, and we're excited to have her come speak to us! Jelan has been with IBM for about 25 years. Her first 15 years were as a systems engineer, supporting the range of IBM midrange systems in both small and large organizations. She then joined the AS/400 development organization in Rochester as a technical writer, the marketing organization as Worldwide Technical Marketing Consultant for Domino and e-Business, and then became the eServer Business Development Manager for Lotus.
